Description

Graviera Kritis P.D.O. from Sfakianes Madares is one of the most distinctive expressions of Cretan cheesemaking, deeply rooted in the rugged White Mountains (Lefka Ori) of southwestern Crete. The term Sfakianes Madares refers to the high-altitude limestone plateaus of Sfakia, an area known for its harsh terrain, rich endemic flora, and centuries-old pastoral traditions.
